Why Lisa?
I have experience that brings a unique and fresh outlook as a CVUSD trustee:
- My research background - much of it in public schools - has given me extensive practice synthesizing large amounts of data into a coherent story.
- As a social worker, I have worked with and for vulnerable groups across Southern California. I live and work by the values of the field of social work including integrity, service, and the dignity of every person.
- As a parent, I bring the experiences of my two sons’ educations in both the CVUSD and elsewhere (including parent leadership and classroom volunteer roles).
- My knowledge and experiences as an engaged city resident and community volunteer, which include serving on City of Thousand Oaks committees for over a decade, are proof of my dedication to making our community stronger.
